Horseback riding= Keeping the horse between you and the ground.
So, I forgot to take my stupidity drugs the other day, and had a few episodes. First, my Mom comes over and states, me and Laurie were going to go riding if you want to come along. Me, "Sure, I'll take Sheriff." She states, you are a crazy girl. I comment back, ah, he'll be fine, he is ready. She comments, I dunno.... because you see Sheriff is my green broke two year old, and I had wanted to take him out trail riding where he has never been before. As it turns out, our friend Laurie was running a little late, so no trailering the horses any where, so I just go and grab my two year old and take him out by himself through the scary woods, and farther then I have taken him before, and he hasn't doing too bad... he wasn't too bad at stopping, not spooking, backing, and bucking. So I make it through the scary woods, and head out into safe zone, the field, and with all his pent up energy I ask him to trot... and get nothing... so I ask him again, and I thought what a clutz as he pops on the rear a little bit (WHAT AN IDIOT I AM), and then he lambastes me.. kicking way out on the rear throwing me up towards his head, which gives him rein and keeps me unseated.... well, after two good bucks and me scrambling to stay off his neck, I decided to opt for bailing safely, and while my landing wasn't a perfect ten, it was a good landing.... so I scrambed looking for my glasses, check, cell phone, check. Horse.... well... ummm... I still have ten blocks to walk in and there goes my horses loping and bucking in... so I walk five blocks and once some of my gimpiness fades I start trotting in, as my Mom brings me my horse. So I crawled back on him, and rode him in because you have to get back on when you get bucked off. I then went into the areana and ask him to trot, and he does and he tries to act up, but I caught him before he could.. so he was listening well, and I put my precious angel away, and grabbed my mare. I figured I am sore, and I need to keep these muscles warmed up, so I will ride my mare bareback... stupidity pills please, I needed some badly. Regardless of the situation, I had thought, my odds are better on Baron, me= 5, her= 1 as far as getting me off. She hasn't really bucked on purpose ever, but she has bucked and jumped over creeks five feet in the air... etc.... So I walk her out in the field and it feels AWESOME, so I ask her to trot... wonderful.... so I turn her home at a trot, and something behind her spooks her......... and she launches foreward...... so I pull back on the reins and pull more then I intended since she was launching forward at the same time, and she pops off the front and kicks up off the back.... and..... I stayed on, but OUCH, my poor back... so I brought her back, me 6, her 1, and I put her away and thought is this a conspiracy theory or what!?!?
