Hair Dye and Pets

About a month ago, I was bored in Red Wing, Minnesota when I called my Mom and stated, "Mom I am bored, what should I do, get a new pet, or dye my hair?" To which my Mom replied, "Well, your not getting a new pet, and your not dying your hair!!!" She then suggested that I look at vehicles.
So, after a few weeks my Mom asked me to look at a horse for her, and to make a long story short I decided to look at the horse for a horse to buy for myself (see previous blog entries). Now my Mom was all excited, wanted all the details, and was thrilled when I mentioned a new barn friend. My Mom wanted to see him but later got frustrated with me moving... etc.... and stated that if you want him lets go get him, with her excitement mounting.
So I decided I wanted him, and yesterday, I went down to pick up my new horse in Mankato, Town Sheriff (yep, thats his name). Yes, I gave away my gelding Bandit and got the Town Sheriff!!! I needed to clean up the barn a little. Any ways.... on the drive there me and my Mom talked horses, and spent about one out of four hours arguing over what color my horse is, and we came to the conclusion that he was simply a buckskin horse that didn't look like one and that calmed our nerves. This is a long story but apparently the horse changes colors or is a rare color according to the previous owners (so in other words with all the color changes it would be like three horses instead of one throughout the year). The horse is suppose to be tan with a black mane and tail, but instead he is chocolate with a hint of tan on his muzzle and under the eyes. I don't like brown horses, but love buckskins. Either way, this guy I got for a steal and his breeding makes him by far worth it, so I bought him even though he is Brown and is suppose to turn tan. Actually he is a pretty chocolate color, I can handle that as well. It is all very confusing.
So we put him in the trailer and on the way home I stated to my Mom with a grin on my face, "Hmm... I defined you, I got a pet!" My Mom then laughed and stated as long as you keep it outside it is okay, but no dogs! So now... anyone have a dog they want to get rid of?
